Currently working as the Special Assistant in the Office of the Chief of Staff for the World Food Programme (WFP), Vaishnavi was a topper during her school years and emerged at the top of her class at Ivy-league equivalent and world-renowned SciencesPo University in Paris, securing 3 full scholarships to pursue her Masters in International Development from the Government of France and SciencesPo. Vaishnavi was offered a job in WFP's headquarters at a very young age, and was part of the team when WFP received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020. She has worked in the UN for 7 years now and pioneered several first-time projects in Africa and at the global level. During the second COVID wave in India, Vaishnavi co-founded a citizen’s initiative to help tier 3 cities fight COVID-19. She was awarded the Youth Icon in recognition of her social work.
