No, the Forttuna Global Excellence Awards is not a paid award. We celebrate and honor outstanding individuals and organizations in their respective industry based on their merits, contributions, and achievements rather than financial considerations. It is our commitment to recognizing excellence.
Professional Experience & Leadership Standing:
We fully understand the importance of your achievements, including your efforts in challenging environments. The Jury carefully considers all aspects of professional experience, from running a business to the challenges of leadership in complex markets. Each application is assessed holistically, weighing factors like business scale, innovation, and long-term impact. We look at how much experience you’ve gathered in your field and how your work stands out in comparison to your peers. It’s not just about having an office or certain business assets but also about what you've done with your experience and how you’ve been recognized by others in your industry.
Creative Resolution & Innovation:
When reviewing "creative resolution," our Jury evaluates the strategies candidates employ to navigate obstacles and introduce innovations, whether in their business models, products, or community contributions. We value creativity that generates real-world solutions, and this is reflected in the way applications are scored. We evaluate how you approach challenges in unique and original ways. Innovation isn’t just about having new ideas—it’s about implementing them effectively and driving real change. Whether it’s new business models, creative marketing, or solutions to pressing problems, we assess how your ideas have reshaped or positively influenced your field.
Expertise and Impact on Client Outcomes:
We focus on the tangible results you've achieved for your clients, partners, or stakeholders. For instance, we ask: How have you solved significant problems? Have you improved business outcomes or made meaningful changes for those you serve? Simply running a business or having visibility isn’t enough; it’s about demonstrating real, measurable impact that goes beyond the surface.
Contribution to Field and Addressing Challenges:
Innovation and proactive problem-solving are at the heart of this criterion. We want to see how you’ve tackled the big issues within your industry. Have you introduced solutions to complex challenges or set new standards? It’s not just about survival in a tough market; it’s about how you contribute to moving your entire field forward.
Commitment to Advancement and Learning:
Your ability to keep evolving plays a key role. How have you adapted to changes in your industry? Have you embraced new technologies, processes, or learning opportunities to stay ahead of the curve? We reward those who don’t just settle into comfort zones but strive to continuously improve their work and expertise.
Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Involvement:
We’re looking for evidence of how you collaborate across different areas or disciplines. For example, have you worked with other industries, businesses, or experts to drive innovation or bring new perspectives? Collaboration isn’t just about teamwork but about driving better outcomes by tapping into diverse expertise.
Leadership and Vision:
We consider your ability to lead with a clear, strategic vision. It's not just about having a title or position but about how you’ve motivated and inspired others to achieve a common goal. Whether you’ve launched major initiatives or led your team through challenging times, this criterion looks at how your leadership has influenced those around you and shaped your organization.
Ethical Standards and Integrity:
Your ethical practices and reputation matter significantly. We look at how you handle difficult situations with integrity and how transparent you are in your dealings. Ethical decision-making, especially in complex or challenging situations, speaks volumes about your leadership and professional values.
Community Engagement and Social Responsibility:
Your impact beyond business is equally important. How are you contributing to your community or addressing social issues? Whether through charity work, public service, or projects that aim to solve larger societal problems, we assess your role in giving back and making a broader positive impact.
Adaptability and Resilience:
In today’s world, the ability to adapt is key. We consider how you’ve managed to overcome setbacks, navigate tough market conditions, or pivot your business model when faced with unforeseen challenges. Resilience isn’t just about bouncing back, it’s about growing stronger in the process.
The Jury evaluates applications through a comprehensive three-level internal screening process. This method ensures a thorough and unbiased assessment of each candidate’s qualifications. Here’s how the evaluation is structured:
Initial Review by the Preliminary Jury: This first level involves a preliminary assessment of applications. The jury conducts an initial review to determine adherence to the application guidelines.
Detailed Review by a Jury Lead: Applications that pass the initial review proceed to this stage, where a Jury Lead conducts an in-depth evaluation of the candidate’s application, submission, and supporting documents along with the candidate’s credentials, achievements, and overall suitability.
Final Review by the Grand Jury: The final level of scrutiny is conducted by our Grand Jury. Only the applications that excel through the previous stages make it to this round, ensuring that only the most outstanding candidates are considered.
PLEASE NOTE: Scores are assigned objectively based on the evidence and information provided by each candidate in their questionnaire responses. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT MEET THE REQUIRED STANDARDS AT ANY LEVEL ARE ELIMINATED FROM THE PROCESS.
Detailed feedback from the jury is not provided; however, you will be notified of the outcome once the deliberation is complete.
