Michael Lim is the Festival Director of Animation Nation, organised by the Singapore Film Society, and the founder of the Singapore Visual Effects and Animation group.

A qualified film archivist from the George Eastman Museum, he has served on several international festival juries. With extensive experience in the international film and TV industry since 1999.

He has played a key role as a company member in the Singapore International Film Festival since 2014. As a Film Director, he has worked for a global UNICEF PSA and co-founded the first Australian chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH in Sydney. He also served as Assistant Director for an MFA program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Asia.
