Mark Scrimshire, Chief Interoperability Officer at Onyx. He leads the strategy and development of OnyxOS, a FHIR-native, market-leading interoperability platform that helps, payers , providers and government agencies meet compliance mandates and unlock value from the exchange of health data at scale. With over 25 years in healthcare technology, Mark is widely recognized as a leader in digital health transformation and patient-directed exchange.

Prior to founding Onyx Mark served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he architected and launched the Blue Button 2.0 API for 53M beneficiaries. This work became the model for interoperability in US healthcare. Mark evolved this work by contributing to FHIR standards as author, workgroup co-chair and FHIR Business Alliance board member, shaping and expanding interoperable exchange across healthcare.
