Dr. Bhavya Kumar is a social scientist by training. Having secured her education from premier institutions of India like TISS and JNU, she is pursuing her specialisation in the field of Sociology of Education. She is extremely passionate about the cause of education with a difference and has been pursuing the same via her actions and research on field, be it her participation in the Economics Club Mumbai's annual TEEP tour or her own PhD research. Her research areas span vast, ranging from pedagogical concerns around social theory to issues of labelling and bullying in schools in India. Bhavya has used her vast experience on field to publish research articles in international journals and continues to participate in international conferences to champion the cause of a decolonised, democratic and innovative form of education for students in India.
