Avinish Jain brings two decades of experience in leveraging the marketing power of brands to drive both social impact and business growth. Having lived and worked across Asia and Africa, he has successfully delivered multi-million-dollar P&L, led large teams, and trained organizations to embed brand purpose. His work in purpose-led marketing has earned him over 15 national and international recognitions.
At Danone, Avinish served on the steering committee of social businesses across Asia, achieving gross margin positivity within three years. He also headed Unilever’s social mission in sub-Saharan Africa, delivering impactful initiatives that aligned business objectives with social progress.
Since 2021, Avinish has been a founding member and COO of Brands on a Mission, helping brands and organizations integrate purpose into their business models. He has been instrumental in building multi-sectoral coalitions to address major social challenges, including COVId-19, illicit alcohol, and SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights).
