Bio
Michael Schreider is an accomplished educational leader with over 20 years of experience spanning diverse international settings. Currently serving as Principal of ISG Dammam in Saudi Arabia, he oversees comprehensive K-12 operations for 838 students,
implementing strategic initiatives that embody his signature "High Expectations, High Support" philosophy.
Michael's educational foundation includes a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Supervisory Officer's Qualification from Queen's University, and a Master of Education in Administration from the University of Ottawa. This robust academic background has informed his strategic approach to educational leadership.
Before his current role, Michael served as Deputy Principal at Branksome Hall Asia in South Korea, where he led initiatives that resulted in record-high student enrollment and successfully coordinated the CIS, WASC, and IB reaccreditation processes. His leadership extended to marketing, communications, admissions, and parent relations, demonstrating his comprehensive approach to school administration.
In Canada, Michael held multiple principalships within the Ottawa Catholic School Board, where he pioneered innovative programs, including the "Deep Learning" initiative and the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. These initiatives significantly improved the school climate and student well-being. His excellence in leadership was recognized with the Director of Education Commendation Award in 2018.
Most recently, Michael was honored with the Forttuna Global Excellence Award as Mentor of the Year in Saudi Arabia in 2024, affirming his commitment to developing others. He actively contributes to the educational community as a Board Member of the Academy for International School Heads and as a member of the WASC accreditation team.
