Bio
Ambalika Gupta is a purpose-driven sustainability expert with over ten years of experience in ESG strategy, sustainable finance, and impact measurement. She is currently the Director of Sustainability at Snowkap, where she has led high-impact reviews, climate initiatives, and the development of digital ESG tools that connect corporate goals to responsible growth.
Her career has spanned multiple sectors, including pioneering the first Social Life Cycle Assessment for the Indian steel industry, which she presented at the Harvard SLCA Conference in 2017. From facilitating ESG compliance across complicated supply chains to delivering sustainable tech solutions to new markets, Ambalika combines strong industry knowledge with innovative ideas.
She has advised early-stage investment funds on responsible investing frameworks and assisted electric mobility companies with sustainability disclosures for IPO readiness. Her training packages for firms in the wellness and retail sectors have helped to integrate ESG into core operations. Under her guidance, Snowkap has gained the trust of listed businesses, gaining long-term ESG mandates and generating over $92,000 in startup income.
Ambalika has a PGDM from IIM Kozhikode and a master's degree in Disaster Management from TISS, and she is currently pursuing a PhD from the Swiss Business School in Geneva. She is a qualified SA8000 auditor and visiting faculty member at NMIMS, where she mentors future ESG and shared value leaders. As Co-Chair of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge in India, she continues to advocate for responsible supply chains across industries.
