Bio
Joel D'Souza, Founder of EXPRESS AUTOCARE and Co-Founder of MY FNG, is an Auto Industry Mentor and Speaker. He is a passionate auto enthusiast and dynamic entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the car service industry. After an 18-year career in senior IT infrastructure roles across multiple countries, he transitioned to pursue his childhood passion for automobiles. In 2015, he founded EXPRESS AUTOCARE in Kalyan, near Mumbai, starting with an 800 sq. ft. workshop that has now grown into a 14,000 sq. ft., ISO-certified flagship service center. It is recognized as India’s first systems and process driven multi-brand car service center of its kind. By applying structured systems, processes, and operational discipline from his IT background, Joel revolutionized service quality and customer trust in an otherwise fragmented and largely unorganized industry. EXPRESS AUTOCARE today is a trusted name, partnered with ExxonMobil, MY FNG, and Corporate Warranties India, and is actively preparing for the EV shift.
In 2024, Joel co-founded MY FNG (My Friendly Neighborhood Garage), a venture aimed at empowering local garages across India with sustainable systems and strategies. At MY FNG, he leads Operations and Training, mentoring partner workshops by replicating EXPRESS AUTOCARE’s proven model, with a deep focus on integrity, hands-on support, and operational excellence.
Joel’s journey from corporate boardrooms to grease bays is a story of purpose, reinvention, and bold execution, blending technical acumen with a passion for excellence.
Beyond operations, Joel is a sought-after startup mentor, corporate trainer, and keynote speaker, having guided MSMEs and startups across India, Sri Lanka, and South Korea (via KOSME). His sessions focus on entrepreneurship, leadership, and intrapreneurship.
Joel is also the author of the book “The 25 Rupees I Didn’t Get Made Me What I Am,” a reflective memoir on resilience, reinvention, and purpose-driven growth.
