Bio

Dr. Manjula Anagani is a globally acclaimed gynecologist, robotic surgeon, and women's health advocate, whose pioneering contributions have transformed the landscape of reproductive healthcare in India and beyond. Currently serving as the Clinical Director of the Woman and Child Unit at CARE Hospitals, Hyderabad, she is recognized for blending surgical innovation with social responsibility.


She was the first surgeon in the Asia-Pacific region to perform gynecological robotic surgery using the Medtronic Hugo RAS system and is credited with developing the Anagani Technique for neovaginal creation, offering life-changing solutions for women with congenital anomalies. With over 20,000 laparoscopic surgeries to her credit, she holds a Guinness World Record for removing 84 fibroids from a single uterus. Her innovations in laparoscopic ergonomics and regenerative medicine, including ovarian rejuvenation using stem cells, have set new benchmarks in women's healthcare.


Beyond hospitals, Dr. Anagani has been a tireless advocate for community health. She has been associated with Pratyusha Support since its inception and has led its healthcare initiatives for underserved women and adolescents. Her nationally recognised "No POP" campaign highlighted the dangers of plastic-based intimate hygiene products, sparking vital conversations on safe menstrual practices.


A Padma Shri awardee (2015) and recipient of numerous national and international honors, she is also a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, actively involved in public health initiatives such as polio eradication.
