Gauranga Das, a distinguished spiritual leader, sustainability advocate, and community builder with a B.Tech from IIT Bombay, serves as the Director of Govardhan Ecovillage, a UNWTO-awarded sustainable community recognized by UNEP, UN ECOSOC, and other global bodies. He is also the Faith for Earth Counsellor at UNEP, advancing the integration of spirituality with environmental stewardship. A senior member of ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission, he oversees global human resource development and capacity building, while also serving as Co-President of ISKCON Chowpatty and Administrative Director of the Bhaktivedanta Research Centre, which safeguards 25,000 ancient manuscripts and promotes academic research in Indian philosophy.


Through his leadership, Govardhan Ecovillage has driven impactful initiatives, serving over seven million free meals, restoring six water bodies, and creating vocational opportunities for tribal youth. He has contributed to global food policy through C20 summits in India and Brazil and leads the Annapoorna Think Tank. His advisory roles include the Ekatma Dham Project, Rishihood University, and the Central Sanskrit University. An IGBC Fellow and Honorary Doctorate recipient, Gauranga Das is also a prolific author and TEDx speaker, blending Vedic wisdom with modern sustainability practices to inspire global transformation.
